A Bloodborne Pathogens Program helps protect employees from exposure to infectious materials such as blood and other potentially infectious substances. Developing the program includes identifying at risk job tasks, establishing exposure control procedures, providing appropriate PPE, offering hepatitis B vaccinations, and ensuring proper training and documentation. A well designed program reduces exposure risks, supports safe workplace practices, and maintains compliance with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.
